There is no direct way to connect AirPods to your PS4, as this gaming platform lacks Bluetooth connectivity. However, you can use a Bluetooth adaptor to send all PS4 sounds to your Apple AirPods.

How to Connect AirPods to Your PS4

Believe it or not, no PlayStation platform offers Bluetooth integrations to pair an output or input device like AirPods. The only two ways to connect AirPods to your PS4 are through the 3.5mm jack on the bottom part of the controller or through one of the two USB ports on the PS4 itself. Let’s take a look at how to use either the jack or USB port to pair your AirPods to your PS4.

Jack Bluetooth Adaptor

To use the 3.5mm jack on the controller, you will need to acquire a jack Bluetooth adaptor. This simple device plugs into the jack port on your controller, turning the electrical signal into a Bluetooth signal. This will output any sounds from the system to the Bluetooth device you have it connected to. 

There are hundreds of different adaptors to choose from, but they all do the same job. Choose the one you think will cover your needs. 

Now, you can put the adaptor into pairing mode by following the instructions that came with it. To pair your AirPods to the adaptor, open the charging case and, with the earbuds still inside, press and hold the button on the back until the LED light starts blinking white. You can confirm that the AirPods have paired successfully once the light stops blinking.

To output sound through the AirPods, follow these steps on your PS4:
