Screen Mirror
Screen mirroring is one of the most popular ways to cast from your phone, laptop, or tablet onto an Element TV as most devices have the feature already built in and you don’t need any additional gadgets or cords.
In order to screen mirror, you will first need to ensure that both your device and your Element TV are connected to the same wireless network.
If you have not yet connected your television to your home WiFi, here’s what you need to do:
- On your Element remote, press the MENU button. Navigate to TV SETTINGS and click to select. Select NETWORK. Choose your wireless network.Enter your password.
That’s it! Your Element TV will now remain connected to your WiFi network unless you choose to disconnect or a problem with your router arises.
Now that you are connected, you can either use the Element app or the Roku app in order to screen mirror right now!
Screen Mirror via the Element App
First things first, you will need to navigate to your device’s app store and download the Element app. From there, simply open the app and follow the instructions below:
- Register your Element TV on the app. Follow the prompts to sync your television with the app.A toggle will appear with the option to screen mirror.Click the toggle to ON.
The screen of your device should now be displayed on your Element television! To turn it off, simply return the toggle to the OFF position within the app.
Screen Mirror via the Roku App
Once you have accessed the app store on your device and downloaded the Roku app, you will also need to download the app on your Element television unless it is a Roku model and it is pre-installed.
From there, simply open both apps and select the option to connect on your phone, tablet, or laptop! You will then see your screen appear on the television.
It’s important to note that the Element app option will only work with an Android phone, whereas the Roku app will work with either an iPhone or an Android.
If you do not have WiFi available on your phone or television, there are two other solutions you can try.
USB Connection
Another incredibly easy way to cast to your Element TV is via a USB cord. Most of us have a USB cord either on hand or laying in a junk drawer somewhere, and this handy cable can allow you to watch your device’s screen on your TV in seconds!Once you have connected the USB cord that fits your charging port to the USB port behind your Element TV, you will then need to navigate to the SETTINGS menu on your phone, go to USB SETTINGS, and select FILE TRANSFER.
Then you can simply go to the app, music, or whatever screen you want to mirror and see it appear on the big screen!
NOTE: USB connection will only work with a phone or tablet, if you would like to connect a laptop, continue to the HDMI section below.
HDMI Connection
Connecting your laptop (phones and tablets will not work with an HDMI cable as they don’t have the proper port) simply means plugging in the HDMI cable to the computer itself and the back of the Element TV.
After they are connected, change the input source on your Element TV to the correct HDMI port to which it is connected. Remember that most televisions have several HDMI ports so it’s important to make sure you are setting the source for the same number as the port.
