1. Check the battery level

2. Restart HoloLens

If your device is charged but won’t turn on, try a restart by following the steps below.

  • Hold the power button for 4 seconds and wait for all the battery indicators to turn off.
  • Wait for one minute, and then press the power button.

If this method doesn’t work, try force restarting HoloLens.

  • Hold the power button for at least 10 seconds.
  • Wait for at least 30 seconds, then press the power button again.

3. Reset the device

  • Download and install the Windows Device Recovery Tool on your Windows 10 PC.
  • Connect the device to your computer via the Micro USB cable.
  • Run the Windows Device Recovery Tool.
  • Follow the instructions from the tool.
