Just last week, we reported about how a new cloud storage provider, Hive made cloud storage limits a thing of the past. Now Microsoft is further flaming the cloud storage fires by offering Office 365 customers unlimited OneDrive storage at no additional cost. Starting today, the company has written on its corperate blog that it’s rolling unlimited storage to Office 365 Home, Personal, and University customers. The roll out will then continue over the coming months, the software giant has said.

Microsoft is also thinking about business customers. OneDrive for Business customers will also get unlimited storage as part of the companies Office 365 roadmap in the coming months. Office 365 Microsoft’s Office suite can be accessed using a web browser and  it’s more than just an online productivity suit. Office 365 is delivered to users through the cloud and includes Exchange Online for email, SharePoint Online for collaboration, Lync Online for unified communications, and a suite of Office Web Apps, Web-based versions of the traditional Microsoft Office suite of applications.

This move is part of the companies strategy to become the world’s mega hard disk drive on the cloud as it reiterated on the blog;
